UC Merced established the Fresno Center in 1997 as one of the first initiatives during planning stages for the UC Merced campus. The Center helped Fresno and the San Joaquin Valley prepare for the opening of UC Merced and continues to serve the educational and community needs of Fresno area residents.
The Center houses UC Merced programs, including:
• Office of Admissions
• Center for Educational Partnerships
• Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Regional Network
• Young Engineer and Scientist (YES) Academy
• Reaching Out to Aspiring Doctors (ROAD) for the San Joaquin Valley
